Your agent writes it.
PostPen posts it.
Scheduling and publishing for Grok Bot, Claude, ChatGPT, Muse, and Cursor. Queue posts for LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads and YouTube, then review everything on one calendar.
- X
- Threads
- YouTube
Free plan: 10 published posts a month, on one network.
Works with
- Grok Bot
- Claude
- ChatGPT
- Muse by Meta
- Cursor
- and any MCP client
How it works
Set up in three steps. Then leave it to your agent.
- 1
Connect your accounts
Sign in to PostPen and connect LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads or YouTube once. LinkedIn company pages you admin come from the same login.
- 2
Add PostPen to your agent
Add the MCP server like any other app. Your agent opens a browser, you sign in, click Allow, and you're back in the chat.
https://mcp.postpen.ai - 3
Review the calendar
Drafts, scheduled posts, and published posts land on one month view. Edit, move, or delete anything before it goes out.
Agent can't open a browser? Create an API key in app.postpen.ai/agents and send it as a bearer token.
Agent tools
A short list of tools. That's the whole surface.
Your agent already writes well. It just can't hold your social logins or wait until Thursday. PostPen gives it exactly what it needs to queue, publish, and learn from the results, and nothing more.
list_destinationsno arguments- See where the agent may post: your LinkedIn profile and company pages, and your X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads and YouTube accounts, each tagged with its network.
save_draftcontent, id?, destinations?, network_text?, youtube?, media?, mentions?, first_comment?- Save the post your agent wrote, or update one that hasn't gone out. Pick every network it goes to, give any network its own version, set a YouTube video's title and settings, tag people and companies from your tag list, add a first comment, and see what a network can't take yet.
create_uploadtype- Get a private upload link for an image, video, or PDF the agent made, then attach it to a draft.
schedule_postid, scheduled_for- Queue a draft for a future time. PostPen publishes it when it's due, even if the chat is closed.
unschedule_postid, confirm- Move a scheduled post back to drafts. Nothing is deleted and nothing is sent.
list_postsstatus, limit?- Read drafts, scheduled posts, or sent posts, so the agent knows what's already in the queue.
publish_nowid, confirm- Send a post to every network it's going to right away. Refused unless confirm is true.
delete_draftid, confirm- Delete a draft that was never sent. Scheduled and published posts can't be deleted.
get_post_statsid- Read how a published post did: impressions, reach, reactions, comments, reposts and engagement rate on LinkedIn, and views, likes, replies and reposts on X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads and YouTube.
list_commentsid, limit?- Read the comments on a company page post, so the agent can summarise what people said.
get_insightsdays?- See whether each LinkedIn account is growing against the period before and which recent posts beat what's usual, plus followers and totals for your X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads and YouTube accounts.
list_inspirationtopic?, format?, query?, limit?- Browse curated LinkedIn posts that did well, with why they worked and prompts based on them. For structure and format, not for copying.
get_inspirationid- Read one of those posts in full, with its author, so the agent can credit them.
list_tagsno arguments- Read your tag list, so the agent writes @[Name] and each network gets the right @handle or company tag.
list_promptstag?, query?, mine?, limit?- Browse your own Social Prompts and PostPen's public prompt library, filtered by tag or words.
get_promptid- Read one prompt's full instructions, so the agent writes in that shape with your topic and voice.
No network token for the agent
Your connections stay on PostPen's server. No tool takes a token for any network or returns one.
Publishing needs a confirm
publish_now fails without confirm: true. Everything else lands on your calendar first.
Browser sign-in or API key
MCP clients sign in through the browser. Agents that need a header use a bearer API key.
Where posts go
Six networks. Your profile and your company pages.
Connect each account once. One post can go to LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads and YouTube, with a shorter version where a network needs it. On LinkedIn, post as yourself or as the company pages you admin, from the same login.
| Plan | Where you can publish |
|---|---|
| Free | Any 1 network, one account |
| Personal | Any 2 networks, one account each |
| Organization | All 6 networks + 2 LinkedIn company pages |
| Enterprise | Every network, unlimited accounts and pages |
Human review
Your agents fill the calendar. You decide what ships.
Open app.postpen.ai when you want to check the month. Nothing about the queue is hidden in a chat log.
The month is the source of truth
Every draft, scheduled post, and published post shows up on one calendar, whichever agent made it.
Drafts and media in one place
Open any post to read the full text and see the media it goes out with.
Change anything before it goes out
Edit, move to another day, send back to drafts, or delete. Published posts can be deleted from the networks too.
Every network, its own status
Published with a link, or failed with the reason and a Retry. PostPen retries by itself and never sends a post twice.
Composer
Writing one yourself? The Composer has you covered.
Your agents and you share one queue. When you want to write a post by hand, the Composer sends it to every network in the shape each one needs.
One text, a version where needed
Write once for every network, and give any of them its own version: a short one for X, a longer one for LinkedIn.
See it as each network will
A preview per network before it goes out. A long X post shows as the thread it becomes, post by post.
Tag once, right everywhere
Pick a tag from your list and each network gets its own form: the @handle on X, Instagram and Threads, the company on LinkedIn.
Media that fits
Alt text travels with each image, Instagram gets a JPEG copy of a PNG automatically, and limits are checked before you schedule.
First comment
Add a link or credits as the first comment, posted right after the post on LinkedIn and X.
YouTube videos and Shorts
Choose video or Short, and set the title, privacy, tags, category and thumbnail.
Pricing
Pay for destinations, not for words.
Your agent does the writing, so there are no credits. Start free on one network, go unlimited on two, or take all six with your LinkedIn company pages.

What is PostPen?
PostPen is social media scheduling and publishing for AI agents. Your agent writes the post. PostPen holds your connections to LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads and YouTube, queues the post, and publishes it to the accounts you choose at the time you set.
Which networks does PostPen post to?
LinkedIn (your personal profile and the company pages you admin), X, Facebook Pages, Instagram, Threads and YouTube, any mix in one post. Each network can get its own version of the text, and PostPen checks a post against each network's limits before it is scheduled, such as Instagram needing an image or a video, or YouTube taking one video with a title. Text too long for an X post goes out as a thread, and a Threads text post can run to 10,000 characters. The FAQ page lists every limit.
Which agents work with PostPen?
Anything that can add a remote MCP server: Grok Bot, Claude, ChatGPT, Muse by Meta, Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini CLI. Bots that can only send HTTP requests can call the same tools with a bearer API key; see postpen.ai/openapi.json.
How do I connect my agent?
Add PostPen as an MCP server using https://mcp.postpen.ai. Your agent opens a browser window, you sign in to PostPen and click Allow, and you are sent back to the agent. If your agent needs a header instead, create an API key at app.postpen.ai/agents and send it as Authorization: Bearer.
Can I use PostPen from a terminal agent like Claude Code, Codex, or Gemini CLI?
Yes. Add it with one command, then sign in to PostPen and click Allow in the browser. Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http postpen https://mcp.postpen.ai, then run /mcp. Codex CLI: codex mcp add postpen --url https://mcp.postpen.ai, then codex mcp login postpen. Gemini CLI: gemini mcp add --transport http postpen https://mcp.postpen.ai, then run /mcp auth postpen.
Does my agent ever see my tokens?
No. You connect each account once inside PostPen. The tokens stay on our server. The agent authenticates to PostPen, never to LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads or YouTube, and no tool accepts or returns a token for any network.
Can an agent publish without asking me?
publish_now only runs when the call includes an explicit confirm. Drafts and scheduled posts show up on your calendar first, where you can edit, move, or delete them before they go out.
Can my agent see how my posts performed?
Yes, on every network. get_post_stats reads impressions, reach, reactions, comments, and reposts for a published LinkedIn post, and views or impressions, likes, replies or comments, and reposts or shares where it went out on X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads and YouTube. get_insights shows whether each LinkedIn account is growing against the period before and which recent posts beat what is usual for that account, plus followers (subscribers on YouTube) and totals for each X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads and YouTube account, so the agent can plan the next posts around what worked. You see the same numbers under Dashboards in the app: one for all networks and one for each network. Comments can be read on LinkedIn company page posts; LinkedIn does not let apps read them on personal posts, and on the other networks the agent gets the comment count.
Can I post to company pages?
Yes, on Organization. You get your LinkedIn profile plus 2 company pages you admin, all from the same LinkedIn login, along with one account each on X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads and YouTube. For more than 2 pages, contact us about Enterprise.
What counts toward the Free plan's 10 posts?
Each post published in a calendar month. Drafts and scheduled posts that have not gone out yet do not count. Unused posts do not roll over to the next month.
What does fair use mean on unlimited plans?
Scheduling is unlimited, with a cap of 5,000 posts per destination per month. That is far above normal use and exists to stop runaway loops.
What happened to the AI writing features?
Your agent writes now. PostPen focuses on connecting your accounts, scheduling, and publishing. You can still write and post by hand in the app's Composer.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Monthly and yearly plans can be cancelled any time and stay active until the end of the period you paid for. Lifetime is a one-time payment.
Give your agent a way to post.
Connect your accounts, add PostPen to your agent, and check the calendar when you feel like it. The free plan covers 10 posts a month on one network.
