What PostPen does on Threads
- Connect once. Connect your Threads account on the Social Accounts page in PostPen. Your agent never sees your Threads token.
- Your agent picks Threads per post.
list_destinationsreturns your Threads account with an id likethreads:<id>, andsave_drafttakes it indestinations. - A version for Threads.
network_textgives Threads its own text, so a long LinkedIn post can go out on Threads as a short one. - Long text posts. A post without images or a video can be up to 10,000 characters: the first 500 show as the post, cut at a paragraph or sentence, and the rest goes in its text attachment. Hindi sentences ending in "।" are cut there too.
- Alt text. Each image keeps the alt text you or your agent gave it.
- Checked before it's scheduled. If the post is too long, has more than 5 links, or mixes images and a video,
save_draftsays so innetwork_problems, andschedule_postrefuses the post until it's fixed. - One calendar. Threads posts sit next to your other networks on the PostPen calendar, where you can edit, move or delete them before they go out.

FAQ
Can I post a carousel on Threads?
Yes. Attach up to 20 images to the post and PostPen publishes them together. A post takes images or one video, not both.
Does PostPen read Threads analytics?
Yes. For the posts PostPen publishes on Threads, the Threads dashboard in PostPen shows views, likes, replies and reposts, plus your follower count. Your agent reads the same numbers with get_post_stats and get_insights.
Does my agent see my Threads token?
No. PostPen keeps the Threads connection on its server, and no tool accepts or returns a token for any network.
